Grey Day, Green Hill

A muted watercolour painting with a strong sense of distance and quiet movement. Rolling hills are painted in layered olive greens, ochres and greys. Across the hills run pale, broken white lines that intersect and curve creating a subtle geometry that contrast with the organic washes. 
 
The sky's grey-blue tones  are gently graded and textured by the paper, hinting at approaching rain.
